Your place of worship is important to you and to your congregants. It is a place where you and others should feel at peace to commune with a Higher Power, and at the same time, feel comfortable socalizing with others after services are over. Your church furniture should be a style that will suit the tastes of those who pray there. Classic solid oaks or cherry wood are good choices for tasteful pews which should also contain holders for prayer books. For larger podiums, you might want to select one with carvings of religious scenes on the outside or a simple religious symbol.

After services, people often enjoy eating cake and cookies, drinking coffee and catching up with friends. . Most places of worship have simple, foldaway tables, but you can invest in church furniture is tasteful and comfortable. You might want to choose a round table for cakes and refreshments; round shapes bring people together and prevent people who come to services alone from feeling left out. A cherry wood table with matching chairs and tastefully decorated seat cushions are a good choice for your church furniture. You might want to include a small play area for the children which can be cordoned off from the main area. Small slides, toy chests and playhouses are fun for kids and keep them occupied while the grown ups converse.
