Game Room Furniture

Your game room can be a fun arcade for your kids or a classic billiard room for you and your friends. Your game room furniture should blend with the kinds of games and entertainment featured in your game room. You can try fun retro 70s game furniture for the kid in you, a real play room for your kids or a classy saloon.

Instead of focusing on the video games, furnish your kids’ play room with game room furniture that focuses on all kinds of fun. Try plastic or wooden tables painted in primary colors; a blue table with red trim is a good choice, along with a yellow bookcase with blue trim. Put a large art table in your kids’ game room with drawers for clay, paints, sequins and other items for the budding artists. Colorful frames can be used for displaying artwork on the walls. Try a colorful computer table where your kids can play video games. A miniature, primary colored table with a retractable shelf for the keyboard and side drawers. Fun chairs, bean bags and a plastic slide are great additions to your game room furniture.

For the inner retro kid, try that 70s game room furniture, complete with a fuzzy rug, a lava lamp, a bold colored sofa and a fuzzy chair. An artsy coffee table of formica with paint splattered designs is a good home for your pet rock. In the corners can be classic video games, such as centipede, Pac Man and Donkey Kong.

If you want a classic saloon, you will have to purchase antique game room furniture, or at least, furniture that looks antique. A large solid oak bar with stools is a great place to sit while watching a game of pool on a matching oak billiard table. In the corner, you can put an old-fashioned player piano, or a three-in-one solid wood game table that includes backgammon, checkers and poker with pockets for chips and places to put drinks.
