Kids’ Bedroom Furniture

Kids’ bedroom furniture varies according to your child’s taste, gender and age, and is relatively easy to find at used furniture stores if you are on a budget. You can design your child’s special area with conservative kids’ bedroom furniture that can be used for years and for different children. This includes moderately sized chest of drawers with a changing station. This unit can be removed and replaced with a model ship or plane display area on top of the same chest of drawers when your son or daughter has items to show. There are some cribs that are highly adjustable and can even be transformed into a bed that will accommodate a four-year old.

Then again, if your daughter has her heart set on kids bedroom furniture that will make her feel like a princess, you can design a place just for her with French provencial pieces made from wood painted white with gold trim. Try a four poster bed with notches to hold a lacy canopy, a matching armoir or chest of drawers and a vanity with an elegant gold metal chair and white cushions. At most kids furniture shops you can find miniature rockers with fine upholstery or tiny Queen Ann’s chairs. When your daughter grows out of the small furniture or simply wants a new look, you can find a place to trade-in your kids bedroom furniture for cash.

Some kids’ furniture comes in various shapes and themes. There are brightly colored beds shaped like airplanes or buses, or entire rooms with characters painted on the bed and chest of drawers. If your child’s bedroom is doing double duty as a playroom, you can find kids’ bedroom furniture that is great for storing toys. Chest and sectioned cubby holes are good choices, as well as shelves that are built into the wall.
